Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Daydream by Tschabalala Self was auctioned at Phillips in London in October last year. It achieved a price of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 205,504.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tschabalala Self - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Princess, which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 435,000.00 (€ 504,165.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Daydream von Tschabalala Self kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 176.400,00 (€ 205.504,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Tschabalala Self mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Princess beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 435.000,00 (€ 504.165,99) versteigert wurde.
