Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Toby Ziegler could be acquired at Phillips in London in February 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work …good the doom… (2nd study) changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,243.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toby Ziegler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Designated For Leisure in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 128,500.00 (€ 179,739.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Toby Ziegler konnte im Februar 2020 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit …good the doom… (2nd study) für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.243,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toby Ziegler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Designated For Leisure im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 128.500,00 (€ 179.739,40).
