Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Tobias Rehberger. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 22,729.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tobias Rehberger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reus, which sold at auction in February 2010 for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 61,636.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tobias Rehberger zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 22.729,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Tobias Rehberger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reus beobachtet, die im Februar 2010 für GBP 55.250,00 (€ 61.636,51) versteigert wurde.
