Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tara Donovan could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction, the work Untitled (Straight Pins) changed hands for USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,903.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tara Donovan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Pins), which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 149,000.00 (€ 109,510.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tara Donovan konnte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Straight Pins) für USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.903,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tara Donovan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Pins) beobachtet, die im November 2013 für USD 149.000,00 (€ 109.510,51) versteigert wurde.
