Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tacita Dean could be acquired at Phillips in London in September last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work An Organised Whole, from Tate Modern 21 Years Portfolio changed hands for GBP 504.00 (€ 573.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tacita Dean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wake in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,673.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tacita Dean konnte im September letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit An Organised Whole, from Tate Modern 21 Years Portfolio für GBP 504,00 (€ 573,60) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tacita Dean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wake im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.673,00).
