This artwork by Tacita Dean achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December 2018. In the Post-war and contemporary art - vente du jour auction, the work Limn sold for EUR 32,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tacita Dean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wake in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,673.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tacita Dean erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-war and contemporary art - vente du jour wurde die Arbeit Limn für EUR 32.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tacita Dean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wake im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.673,00).
