Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Small Colour Study for El Tule by Tacita Dean was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,047.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tacita Dean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wake in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,673.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Small Colour Study for El Tule von Tacita Dean kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.047,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tacita Dean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wake im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.673,00).
