Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Phillips in 19 - held the auction Heatwave: Online Auction, which included the work Buddha's Tooth by Tacita Dean. The price achieved of GBP 1,270.00 (€ 1,270.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tacita Dean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wake in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,673.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 19 - die Auktion Heatwave: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Buddha's Tooth von Tacita Dean zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.270,00 (€ 1.270,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tacita Dean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wake im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.673,00).
