Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Planting Rice by Sudjana Kerton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 260,000.00 – 360,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,149.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sudjana Kerton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Village Life in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,231,405.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Planting Rice von Sudjana Kerton zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 260.000,00 – 360.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.149,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sudjana Kerton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Village Life im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.231.405,91).
