Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kuda Lumping (Flat horse-trance dance) by Sudjana Kerton was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. The price achieved of HKD 5,125,000.00 (€ 580,513.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 4,300,000.00 – 6,300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sudjana Kerton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Village Life, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,231,405.91).

Die Arbeit Kuda Lumping (Flat horse-trance dance) von Sudjana Kerton kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 5.125.000,00 (€ 580.513,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 4.300.000,00 – 6.300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sudjana Kerton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Village Life beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.231.405,91) versteigert wurde.
