Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sudjana Kerton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Evening Sale auction, the work Indonesian Village Life sold for HKD 8,040,000.00 (€ 890,495.41) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,800,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sudjana Kerton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Village Life sold at auction in April 2014 with the realized price of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,231,405.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sudjana Kerton erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Indonesian Village Life für HKD 8.040.000,00 (€ 890.495,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.800.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sudjana Kerton; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Village Life im April 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.231.405,91).
