Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fish Sellers by Sudjana Kerton was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 94,500.00 (€ 10,466.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sudjana Kerton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Village Life in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,231,405.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fish Sellers von Sudjana Kerton wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 90.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 10.466,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sudjana Kerton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Village Life im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.231.405,91).
