Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Pelindung: The Protector by Sudjana Kerton for HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 248,183.67). This price was achieved in the auction 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 2,200,000.00 – 3,200,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Sudjana Kerton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Village Life in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,231,405.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pelindung: The Protector von Sudjana Kerton für HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 248.183,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.200.000,00 – 3.200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sudjana Kerton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Village Life im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.231.405,91).
