This artwork by Sudjana Kerton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction, the work Wayang Golek sold for HKD 4,925,000.00 (€ 563,664.90) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sudjana Kerton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Village Life, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,231,405.91).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sudjana Kerton erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) wurde die Arbeit Wayang Golek für HKD 4.925.000,00 (€ 563.664,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sudjana Kerton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Village Life beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.231.405,91) versteigert wurde.
