Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Five Works On Paper And Archival Materials (I) Side Profiles (Ii) Borobudur (Iii) Borobudur (Iv) Figures In A Park (V) "Season'S Greeting" Card by Sudjana Kerton for HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,858.47). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sudjana Kerton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Village Life in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,231,405.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Five Works On Paper And Archival Materials (I) Side Profiles (Ii) Borobudur (Iii) Borobudur (Iv) Figures In A Park (V) "Season'S Greeting" Card von Sudjana Kerton für HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.858,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sudjana Kerton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Village Life im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.231.405,91).
