A top price for Elaine Sturtevant
In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Warhol Diptych by Elaine Sturtevant. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,093,000.00 (€ 4,632,526.83). With this result, Warhol Diptych is even the most expensive work of art by Elaine Sturtevant that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Warhol Diptych von Elaine Sturtevant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.093.000,00 (€ 4.632.526,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Warhol Diptych sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Elaine Sturtevant, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
