The work Duchamp's in Advance of the Broken Arm by Elaine Sturtevant was sold in the Belgian and contemporary art auction at Bonhams in Brussels in December this year. It achieved a price of EUR 10,240.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elaine Sturtevant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Warhol Diptych in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,093,000.00 (€ 4,632,526.83).

Die Arbeit Duchamp's in Advance of the Broken Arm von Elaine Sturtevant wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Belgian and contemporary art bei Bonhams in Brüssel versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.240,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elaine Sturtevant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Warhol Diptych im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.093.000,00 (€ 4.632.526,83).
