A top price for Steve DiBenedetto - as previously expected
The work Splice by Steve DiBenedetto was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in May 2007. The price achieved of USD 33,600.00 (€ 24,975.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Splice is the most expensive artwork by Steve DiBenedetto that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Splice von Steve DiBenedetto wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 33.600,00 (€ 24.975,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Splice das teuerste Kunstwerk von Steve DiBenedetto, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
