Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Situation by Steve DiBenedetto for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,031.77). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Part II at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Steve DiBenedetto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Splice in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,600.00 (€ 24,975.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Situation von Steve DiBenedetto für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.031,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Steve DiBenedetto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Splice im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.600,00 (€ 24.975,84).
