The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Stefan Brüggemann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mirror 26 in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 151,200.00 (€ 179,131.16).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Puddle Painting 2 von Stefan Brüggemann wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stefan Brüggemann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mirror 26 im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 151.200,00 (€ 179.131,16).
