Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Headlines And Last Lines In The Movies #20 by Stefan Brüggemann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,628.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Stefan Brüggemann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mirror 26 in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 151,200.00 (€ 179,131.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Headlines And Last Lines In The Movies #20 von Stefan Brüggemann zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.628,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stefan Brüggemann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mirror 26 im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 151.200,00 (€ 179.131,16).
