Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Silke Otto-Knapp could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open | Online auction, the work Two Figures (Airplane) changed hands for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,920.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Silke Otto-Knapp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure (Lydia), which sold at auction in February 2020 for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,936.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Silke Otto-Knapp konnte im Juli 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open | Online wechselte die Arbeit Two Figures (Airplane) für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.920,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Silke Otto-Knapp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure (Lydia) beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.936,51) versteigert wurde.
