Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Silke Otto-Knapp could be acquired at Phillips in New York in September 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work At the Bride's: The Braid changed hands for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,449.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Silke Otto-Knapp have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2020 by the work Figure (Lydia) at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,936.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Silke Otto-Knapp konnte im September 2016 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit At the Bride's: The Braid für USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.449,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Silke Otto-Knapp wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Februar 2020 die Arbeit Figure (Lydia) mit USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.936,51).
