Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Proof of Peace AU 31 by Shozo Shimamoto. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,164.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shozo Shimamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Explosion 64-1 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Proof of Peace AU 31 von Shozo Shimamoto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 58.164,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shozo Shimamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Explosion 64-1 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.500.000,00 (€ 2.419.733,82).
