The work Untitled SHIM-46 by Shozo Shimamoto was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 55,091.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shozo Shimamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Explosion 64-1 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled SHIM-46 von Shozo Shimamoto kam im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 55.091,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shozo Shimamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Explosion 64-1 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.500.000,00 (€ 2.419.733,82).
