This work without title by Shozo Shimamoto was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 365,400.00 (€ 43,380.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shozo Shimamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Explosion 64-1 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Shozo Shimamoto wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 365.400,00 (€ 43.380,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shozo Shimamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Explosion 64-1 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.500.000,00 (€ 2.419.733,82).
