A top price for Shozo Shimamoto
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Brushwork II – All The World’s a Stage, which included the work Explosion 64-1 by Shozo Shimamoto. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82), 37% above the upper estimate. With this result, Explosion 64-1 is even the most expensive work of art by Shozo Shimamoto that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Shozo Shimamoto
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Brushwork II – All The World’s a Stage durch, in der auch die Arbeit Explosion 64-1 von Shozo Shimamoto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 20.500.000,00 (€ 2.419.733,82) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Explosion 64-1 sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Shozo Shimamoto, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
