Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Shozo Shimamoto for USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,325.47). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shozo Shimamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Explosion 64-1 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2021 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Shozo Shimamoto für USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.325,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shozo Shimamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Explosion 64-1 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.500.000,00 (€ 2.419.733,82).
