Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crash Bottle Art N. 21 by Shozo Shimamoto was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 214,200.00 (€ 23,826.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shozo Shimamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Explosion 64-1 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Crash Bottle Art N. 21 von Shozo Shimamoto wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 214.200,00 (€ 23.826,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shozo Shimamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Explosion 64-1 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.500.000,00 (€ 2.419.733,82).
