Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sérgio de Camargo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Untitled, From The Series Cobra sold for USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,736.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sérgio de Camargo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Relief No. 21/52) in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,591,209.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sérgio de Camargo erzielte im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Untitled, From The Series Cobra für USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.736,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sérgio de Camargo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Relief No. 21/52) im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.591.209,76).
