Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Relief No. 193 by Sérgio de Camargo was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2021. The auction ended at the price of USD 200,000.00 (€ 164,015.09), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sérgio de Camargo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Relief No. 21/52) in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,591,209.76).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Relief No. 193 von Sérgio de Camargo wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 164.015,09) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sérgio de Camargo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Relief No. 21/52) im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.591.209,76).
