This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art | London Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Serge Mendjisky; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Paris, Scene De Rue Grands Boulevards sold at auction in February 2016 with the realized price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 30,432.69).
