Upper estimate price exceeded by 89 %.
This artwork by Serge Mendjisky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. In the Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Auction auction, the work Paris, L'Avenue Kléber sold for EUR 18,900.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Serge Mendjisky; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Paris, Scene De Rue Grands Boulevards sold at auction in February 2016 with the realized price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 30,432.69).
