Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Serge Mendjisky could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Online auction, the work Automne, les vignes en Provence changed hands for GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,478.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Serge Mendjisky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paris, Scene De Rue Grands Boulevards in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 30,432.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Serge Mendjisky konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Automne, les vignes en Provence für GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.478,28) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Serge Mendjisky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paris, Scene De Rue Grands Boulevards im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 30.432,69).
