In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Online, which included the work Paysage de Bretagne by Serge Mendjisky. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,942.08), 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Serge Mendjisky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paris, Scene De Rue Grands Boulevards, which sold at auction in February 2016 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 30,432.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage de Bretagne von Serge Mendjisky zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.942,08) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Serge Mendjisky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paris, Scene De Rue Grands Boulevards beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 30.432,69) versteigert wurde.
