Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sean Landers could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Cartoon (I've Got a Show Up this Month); Cartoon (I Know It's Art); and Cartoon (Chip) changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,241.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sean Landers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Genius in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 360,000.00 (€ 267,598.31).
