Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: (i) Plankboy (Narcissus); (ii) Plankboy (Pygmalion) by Sean Landers was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction at Phillips in 17 - in July this year. The price achieved of USD 4,064.00 (€ 3,687.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sean Landers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Genius in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 360,000.00 (€ 267,598.31).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.064,00 (€ 3.687,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sean Landers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Genius im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 360.000,00 (€ 267.598,31).
