Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work The Ponte Vecchio, Florence by Roy Petley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 336.00 (€ 491.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Petley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Beach At Dueville in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Ponte Vecchio, Florence von Roy Petley zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 336,00 (€ 491,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Petley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Beach At Dueville im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52).
