Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work On the river Deben, Woodbridge, Suffolk by Roy Petley for GBP 180.00 (€ 263.54). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Petley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Beach At Dueville in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).

Im April 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On the river Deben, Woodbridge, Suffolk von Roy Petley für GBP 180,00 (€ 263,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Petley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Beach At Dueville im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52).
