Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Rotraut was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2011. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,435.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rotraut achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 192,802.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rotraut kam im September 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.435,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rotraut erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 192.802,06).
