Executed in 1993⁄1999. This work is number two from an edition of three plus one artist's proof.

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work When Dickinson Shut Her Eyes, no. 886 THESE TESTED OUR HORIZON— by Roni Horn. Here, the upper estimate of USD 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 277,200.00 (€ 258,317.03). Other works by Roni Horn have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 378,000.00 (€ 324,547.09) in October 2020 for the work Still Water (The River Thames, For Example).

Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit When Dickinson Shut Her Eyes, no. 886 THESE TESTED OUR HORIZON— von Roni Horn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 250.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 277.200,00 (€ 258.317,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Roni Horn haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 324.547,09) im Oktober 2020 für die Arbeit Still Water (The River Thames, For Example) beobachtet.
