Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work THI XXI by Roni Horn. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,178.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roni Horn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Water (The River Thames, For Example) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 324,547.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit THI XXI von Roni Horn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 23.178,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roni Horn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Water (The River Thames, For Example) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 324.547,09).
