This artwork by Robin F. Williams achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in December 2020. In the 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session auction, the work The Getaway (Study) sold for USD 88,200.00 (€ 72,117.74) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robin F. Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ice Queen in May this year with an auction result of USD 428,400.00 (€ 402,102.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robin F. Williams erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit The Getaway (Study) für USD 88.200,00 (€ 72.117,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robin F. Williams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ice Queen im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 428.400,00 (€ 402.102,50).
