Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ornamented Boy by Robin F. Williams was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,800.00 (€ 32,650.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin F. Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ice Queen in May this year with an auction result of USD 428,400.00 (€ 402,102.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ornamented Boy von Robin F. Williams kam im September 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 32.650,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin F. Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ice Queen im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 428.400,00 (€ 402.102,50).
