Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Olga Tamayo by Roberto Montenegro was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,478.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roberto Montenegro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 157,589.51).
