Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Robert Therrien achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2017. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Arch sold for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 64,136.01) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Robert Therrien; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot No Title sold at auction in November 2000 with the realized price of USD 64,625.00 (€ 74,332.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Therrien erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Arch für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 64.136,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Robert Therrien; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit No Title im November 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 64.625,00 (€ 74.332,87).
