Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (G. 1817) by Robert Gober was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,032.00 (€ 4,058.79). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Gober achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,287,500.00 (€ 6,244,644.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (G. 1817) von Robert Gober wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.032,00 (€ 4.058,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Gober erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.287.500,00 (€ 6.244.644,39).
