Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work The Eyes, The Ears (17 and 52) by Rinko Kawauchi for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,762.67). This price was achieved in the auction First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Rinko Kawauchi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aila, 2004 in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,500.00 (€ 13,904.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Eyes, The Ears (17 and 52) von Rinko Kawauchi für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.762,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rinko Kawauchi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aila, 2004 im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.500,00 (€ 13.904,36).
