Despite a disappointment, a good price for Rinko Kawauchi
This work of art by Rinko Kawauchi could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Aila, 2004 changed hands for GBP 11,500.00 (€ 13,904.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Aila, 2004 is the most expensive artwork by Rinko Kawauchi that we have observed at auction so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Rinko Kawauchi konnte im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Aila, 2004 für GBP 11.500,00 (€ 13.904,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Aila, 2004 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Rinko Kawauchi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
