In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Day Auction, which included the work Biblical Vision by Reuven Rubin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 151,200.00 (€ 140,900.20), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Reuven Rubin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Road To Meron in December 2015 with an auction result of USD 634,000.00 (€ 583,847.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Biblical Vision von Reuven Rubin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 140.900,20) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reuven Rubin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Road To Meron im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 634.000,00 (€ 583.847,50).
